Better get going...

I'm on a 17-day countdown today. Just got back from vacation, a well-needed event-filled break and nice change of pace from how things are here in Boston. For the first time, luck was on my side with not only typical SoCal weather, but a warm front that brought the temperature up into the 80's. Not typically my cuppa tea, but I'll take it considering the frreezing temps that Boston endured while I was away.

Anyway, while there, I received my flight itnerary! I'm leaving from Logan Airport on February 3rd at 12:30pm. I received strict instructions on how to proceed, who to look for, and where to find transportation (They will have a driver (or more?) to pick me up from the airport in Baltimore, MD who will then drive us to the Perry Point campus. I say 'us' because others will be joining me. From the facebook group I've figured out that, at this point, there are three others taking the same flight from Logan. I figure that'll be a nice ice-breaker, having a chance to get to know a few AmerCorp-ers before arriving. The question right now is to what our seat assignments are. None of us received specific assignments... Either we find out when we arrive at registration or they randomly assign us. It would be nice to sit nearby one another on the flight. I guess we'll see... I'm thinking of being in touch with the crowd about perhaps meeting up at the airport at specific time for check-in.

I've also received my driving record today. Weeeheee! I'm fully prepared for take-off now, at least in terms of documentation. Packing, storage, shipping, mental preparation.. you know, essentially everything else, is set to happen sooner or later, emphasis on the later... 17 days... yeeesh. Better get going.
